Who is Eligible for the Help To Buy Mortgage Scheme?

The Help to Buy mortgage guarantee scheme is great for first time buyers. To qualify:

  • The property in question must be up to the value of £200000 (year 2017/18)
  • you will have to submit an application to your local agent who will determine if you are suitable for the scheme
  • You must not own any other property
  • You must be buying for individuals and not for a company
  • You cannot let out the property
